Getting outdoors for a family session at Cobbs Creek Park, as opposed to shooting in, means the parents won’t be self-conscious about clutter around their home (although I can magically make clutter disappear). They are more relaxed and open to having more fun. It’s neutral ground too. Plus, the background options can be exceptional, especially just before sunset.
Except sometimes getting outdoors creates a different set of problems – for this session, the creek was a big draw for Miss A. If it was up to her, she would have jumped right in and explored all its wonder. While that would have made some fantastic portraits (because it would have been her and real), her parents would have been less than thrilled with the cold, wet, and messy child they would have had to deal with (part of me would have loved it 😉 ).
I first met Miss A when she was a few months old. She has this infectious smile that just sucks you in and grabs your heart. I can already tell she is going to be one of those kids that other kids are drawn too. They’ll be fighting to be her bestie!
Oh my gosh, the dogs were hilarious. Seriously!
So sweet – this girl loves her mama!
I’m so thrilled this wonderful family invites me back to capture their love and spirit. It is such a pleasure to work with clients who appreciate the true value of capturing genuine interactions and personality. I can’t wait for what’s next!
